The Adventures of Elder Pitt

Week 49

Nov. 2, 2008

  Aloha Family And Friends,

Finger is doing fine, just got the stitches out this morning. For not having any feeling in my finger tip it sure hurt. Anyways life is good. It looks like I’ll being flying out on Wednesday, so I guess I won’t get to see any of my investigators getbaptized this Friday. It’s unfortunate but what the hay, as long as they know the church istrue it really doesn’t really matter who baptizes them. They were supposed to get baptized last week but of the three we felt one needed to wait a week and through a series of unfortunate events the other two couldn’t make it into the interview on time. The long and short of it all is that they have an interview scheduled for tomorrow. Anyways because of complications with visas for the incoming group of Americans the Elder who was taking over my area was left companionless. So instead of letting him get stuck with a branch missionary for a week in an area he didn’t know I talked to president about allowing me to stay in my old area for a week while I let my finger heal and waited for the stitches to come out. It’s been really comforting to know that my investigators and branch members are in the hands of someone I know and trust. It’s been a lot of fun talking in English again after 3 months of 24/7 Mongolian it’s been a nice break. In a day or two though, I’ll be out in Muruun speaking 24/7 Mongolian all overagain. I can’t wait! I’m having a lot of fun right now. That’s all for now,
